i know there is another forum for this but i just want to hear from the guys that train in scotland
post a breakdown of your daily regime leading up to a fight from start to finish
from classes,sparring,weights,conditioning to road work.
i love the training aspect of mma because there are so many arts to be mastered and want to know how to balance it, i really want to fight and compete mma, i have over 10 years boxing expierence and about 6 months jui jits, no wrestling and about 15 thai classes
i have two young babies and work full time so can manage 3 or 4 classes a week at a push
i used to think boxing was harder than any combat sport but after training a bit of jui jits and some light thai sparring my opinion has changed, should i wait a year or two just building my knowledge and skills or just go for it. im not affilated with any gyms, the training in thai i do is at the griphouse and the jui jits i do is royce gracie glasgow
im kinda in the dark as to how it works cause if you go to a boxing gym, the trainer will say straight away "you wanna fight" and you say yes or no and it goes from there, however an mma gym like the griphouse is mad busy and i have no idea if they would take me on or if other gyms would as they have there rep to think of i guess, where as in a boxing gym they pretty much will chuck you in a ring regardless of skill level, as long as you turn up and train hard.
thanks guys for some feedback please
