I'm still happy to see Bisping fighting someone as tough as Boetsch after years of handpicked fights. I mean, what did Dan Miller bring to the damn table? Jorge Rivera has heavy hands, but his TDD made Bisping look like an Olympic wrestler. Finally Bisping is fighting someone that he can't bully. Boetsch is a very big MW, Bisping will not have a lot of success taking him down/keeping him down and he can absolutely hurt Bisping standing. And Boetsch is coming in riding a ton of momentum. I don't think Bisping will come out of this fight looking good, whether he wins or not.

interesting point of view. you make some neat points, but i think Mike will blast Tim all the same.

You're right, Maia was the handpicked opponent. And since the UFC was pushing Bisping and planning on giving the Maia/Bisping winner the next title shot after the Sonnen/Munoz winner it only made sense to replace Munoz with Bisping. And there was really no danger in it, so what if Bisping lost to Sonnen? Most importantly, if Bisping were to lose to Sonnen, it would not be in devastating fashion. If Bisping were to lose to Stann, Anderson, Munoz, etc. it would probably be in devastating fashion. Chael, not so much.

Bisping is a top 5 middleweight in my opinion. I find it galling that people are criticising who he has fought and in the same breath declaring that Lombard (a man who has beaten NOBODY) would beat him.

The guy who criticised Tim Boetsch is clueless. Yushin Okami is an elite middleweight and Boetsch finished him. Stop being a petty hater.

There are only three middleweights who would beat Michael Bisping - Anderson Silva, Chael Sonnen and Vitor Belfort. That is it. Bisping is unlucky in that the top two middlweights in Sonnen and Silva are HORRIBLE style match ups for him and Belfort I think hits just a bit too hard.

I disagree. Palhares is a one trick pony and Bisping would do to Palhares what Belcher did to him.

Bisping is better than Belcher in every area, so I don't see how Belcher wins that fight.

    Munoz - haha.

I agree with Nimmy, I can think of 6 definites maybe 10 total including maybes that I think would beat him.

Can I ask... What if Boetsch wins at 149?

    Say Whaaaat?!

I think Mike is hugely underated (possibly the most underated in the UFC) but the above statement is a bit wide of the mark. Belcher is legit and would be a terrible match-up for Mike.
