He looked good till then, good technique and still fast despite being 38, just got caught. It happens, but I don't necessarily agree with him thinking age has caught up to him; he's still 10 years younger than Bernard Hopkins

Bernard Hopkins is a different breed of fighter. The only person on par with Hopkins in MMA would be the likes of Randy Couture or even Dan Henderson.
Coffee drinker, prefer Pepsi and I'm kind of a big deal.

Don't want to shit on the guy because he's obviously fought top guys at the highest level and, at his peak, was amongst some of the best in the world. However, if he's going to do just stand-up fights, I think he'd be better with his bread and butter boxing because he looked pretty one-dimensional in that to say it was a Muay Thai fight.

Edit, this was an ill-advised post, so editbro

Oh yeah, of course; he threw no kicks at all, but his boxing looked sharp, he was moving well and didn't look slow like many people of that age do.

I wouldn't say Randy was comparable, to be fair; he's a legend (and rightly so) but, let's be honest; Randy isn't a great fighter. He's a great tactician and a great wrestler; but I wouldn't put him on par with Hopkins.

Hendo's just like the fine wine of MMA (No homo)

I wasn't trying to compare Davis to Hopkins, I was saying it in reaction to him blaming his age for his loss. As has been said by Jay; it was more his lack of actual Muay Thai skills than anything else that lost him this. Also the fact he couldn't block a head kick.
