Hate seeing guys not get paid or worse be out of pocket from shady promoters.
Much appreciated bro, i was at the wrong place at the wrong time, but lesson learnt, watch the people you associate with. And I hate people being out of pocket too, hopefully people will get the full picture now..

I judged the first two shows and luckily enough I fell under the banner of "Sledge's people", which meant I got paid for judging and was on my merry way. The venue for the first two was the Cricket ground centre in Northampton and I remember thinking it was quite a big venue when I first walked in. I was home for 9:30pm, I live about 90 miles away from the venue, on one of the shows because nearly all the fights finished in the first round. I'm pretty sure Norman Paraisy was main event on one card as well against Sean Lomas. I never made the third show because I was booked to do Superior Challenge that weekend.

Matthew said he'd sort ALL the money Monday, as he'd left and I was left with an angry mob, which was fair enough, at the end of the night cheques were issued till funds were available on Mathews request as all the cash was gone.

Just to clear things up 100% im not a promoter I run and own a fighter management company and an mma gym, we provide fighters for the show and help out, if the show made 1million pounds we wouldn't get anything, just means more exposure for my guys and experience for the semi pro... I never realised Matthew or carl didn't pay people from the first show or I wouldn't have helped out at all..

In your oppinion was the show profitable?

I ask this as it will tell us if he:

    A) Split with all the loot and the whole thing was a scam

    or

    B) Didnt have the money so split to hide from the shame

The show lost around 5k, he didn't try to scam anyone, just lost money and didn't want to lose anymore as the first shows lost him around 30grand out of his own pocket and he wanted to make some on this show and he didn't, so got pissed off and done a runner and left the blame on me as I spoke to a lot of people on his behalf but I always told the people who the promoter was and he had the final say on everything.

I'm not one to air dirty laundry, but I have got good fighters and people I do business with that may read this stuff about my company and think this is how I do business but it's all absolute rubbish, my fighters have always been well looked after and iv never let a show or a promoter down in the 5+ years iv been doing it...

As you in your words " said I'd help him so he wouldn't lose so much money."

Do you think he may have held you in part responcible?

What was the expectation with regards your involvement?

What did he expect you to do diferently to change a non profitable show to profitable?
