Default Fisher Prepared For Featherweight Debut At Made 4 The Cage 6

Andrew Fisher edged his way into the lightweight rankings with a great performance against Daniel Thomas last time out, but now he drops to featherweight and tests the waters with a fight against Danny Welsh at Made 4 The Cage this weekend:

“[The drop] just seemed like the right thing I do. I'm not really a big lightweight and I have training partners who are heavier than me walking about and they make feather quite comfortably so I thought I'd try it.”
    He's gonna be a unit at 145lbs.

Fisher has good hands and size on Danny. Would certainly be more interesting and competitive on the feet, but Danny was just stopped on Sunday in a striking bout so Fisher probably fancies his chances.

Who did he fight on Sunday?... He got stopped standing or did the fighter take him down and finish him?

Started well, looked sharp and then didn't look like he wanted to fight after the knockdown. Not the performance I know Danny can put in on the feet, but he was 66kg to Brad's 84kg on the day I guess...

So he gave away a shed load of weight as per usual.

EDIT - He also fought the night before on Cage Conflict.

Danny was easily winning that, looked like he just couldnt be arsed and took the payday... shame really as the lad really does have great stand up!
