I think regardless of your personal opinion on 10th Planet, the guys involved at Elements MMA especially Mick Broster deserve credit for their style of MMA and Grappling, producing lads like Chris Garry, Dave Hill and Tom Breese something is working...
PURE MMA FTW
We train hard, we study hard. Every week we drill more than the week before. We regularly compete and were forging connections and a vibe thats taken many yrs and hrs of mat time to finally take root.
In 6 yrs of training pretty much full time this is the most open minded mat sessions Ive ever experienced. You dont have to smoke weed and memorise all the whacky names, but we sure wont hold it against you if you do either!
Personally Ive found theres far less nonsense within the 10th Planet circles than the BJJ ones. But that doesnt mean I would ever disrespect anyone for committing to their chosen style of grappling, be it BJJ, catch, 10th Planet, MMA or whatever.
Its all grappling, its all good, so if that sounds like your thing then come along. Every single person on the mat is treated like a brother of mine, if that aint your thing then cool, catch you at the next comp.
Dont be surprised when they quit; be surprised when they dont!!
From what I've seen at competitions, all the guys coming from there are very skilled and have always been a nice bunch of lads too.
