I think a DQ I perfectly justified there.

Second foul of the same sort, both of which would be 2 point deductions by my understanding. The ref made an arse of controlling the fighters during the down time after the first foul and didn't signal any deductions from what I saw in the video but the DQ was justified.

Moran was dominating the fight though and it was a matter of time til he found the killer blow without the k ees.

He hadnt deducted a point before the DQ tho just a warning from what I can see... Not saying he wasnt within his rights to DQ him just thought it was a bit harsh. But I see where you are coming from on the 'second foul of the same sort' thing.

I agree it was harsh, but I can see where he got it from. Especially if as part of the warning he said "Do that again and you're getting DQ'd!"

My favourite part is when that guy outside the cage is no doubt shouting sage advice with a bottle of jaeger in one hand a bottle of JD in the other. Good performance from Moran overall. I won't say he's unlucky, but that's definitely an unfortunate way for it to end when you're not far from the finish.

Easy DQ for me. Was a shame.

I was shocked at how easy Moran was handling Ben. He's gonna do well.

I was at a show a while ago when a guy got mounted and his corner, two mates who'd turned up in winter coats and baseball caps, were messing around on their phones while their friend got soundly thrashed in front of them.

I can only hope that they were googling mount escapes for him.

In my opininion the fight should have been stopped before this as Smith had 12 cornermen offering him advice from 3/4 sides of the cage.

This is not the first time this has happened and is an absolute joke. Funny I have seen it with the same team before (who happen to be friends of mine), but if the promoters and referees dont clamp down on it then it will continue.

massive problem in the UK this is

I know dod has been trying to tackle it for ages at the troxy. So difficult depending on the venue layout

    That's a rubbish excuse mate

It's easily done, and it starts with only 3 corners being allowed down to the cage. This stuff only really happens because promoters don't really want to do anything about it. Same can be said about many other issues in UK MMA

Such as the ongoing #cancrusher issue
