Thread: Bring on Bisping

His problem is finding worthwhile fights. He's cleaned out the division and has ruled out moving up to face Jones in the same way that GSP has ruled out moving up to face him.

To sell fights against Bisping and Lombard, Anderson would probably have to fight them on their home patch to get any interest. Other than that, I imagine he will have a fight or two against random top ten people in Brazil to consolidate the UFC's growth there.

Why the fuck did sonnen even throw a spinning backfist? Should have just stuck to the lay and pray gameplan. Bisping should get a crack at him, I think he would get tooled but I think it's a sellable fight and there is a lack of contenders. He would have a go.

It is the absolute worst match up for mike, I don't think he'd last 2 rounds but you can't knock the guy as it is the pinnacle.

Vitor is the biggest theat to silva at mw imo but only really a punchers chance and I'd expect a 2nd fight to go in similar fashion. As stated earlier if Evens moved down it could be interesting but could he make the cut, it wasn't that long ago he was a HW. The best matchups in the division are between the contenders, Silva has shown again that he is way too dominant

Silva should retire or move up to LHW and make a run at the belt

I dont see what Bisping can do to threaten silva in a fight

his wrestling is not on sonnens level

Bisping would suprise me if he actually had a top 10 win first before calling out the champ

he's ducking beltcher & Belfort for the easier fight with stann

    FACT

How do you work that one out? AFAIK Mike said he'd happily fight either Stann or Belcher....it's Joe Silva's choice in the end, not his.

And why would he call out Belfort when he's injured and out for a while?

    ENTER - SENGOKU!

    Don't encourage him.
He did quit! He was conscious and he wasn't defending himself. His body could go on but his mind wouldn't. Silva broke him. There is only one way to describe that....He quit.

    Bisping / Sonnen.
    Belfort / Sonnen.
    Belchar / Sonnen.

But most of all: Palhares / Sonnen.

Any of these guys can beat Sonnen. By FAR the most over rated fighter in the UFC.

He should and he's not a small MW either but age may be a factor. How much longer will he keep his incredible speed and reactions? I can see him beating all of them except jones, the guy is just too big and athletic I'd have to give him the edge though you never know with Silva. Also Similar to Machida they're friends I don't think it would ever happen!

Whatever people think of Bisping he's never ducked anyone, his fight with Sonnen for instance. he would beat a number of top 10 opponents but Belfort is as bad a match up for him as Anderson.
I disagree on Belcher though and didn't mike recently ask to fight either Stann or Belcher? Stann is a tougher match up for Mike, he has the ability to KO him and Mike won't find him easy to get to the ground like sonnen did. I'd also expect Stann to beat belcher if they fought.
Belchers kickboxing is pretty decent but I'd expect Mike to out work him and outstrike him on the feet, no need to take it to the ground . Belcher beat an over hyped one trick pony. Though it was a fantastic performance against Palhares, it certainly doesn't make him a world beater
