It's not all about ability. Sonnen wouldn't have got a crack at silva if it wasn't for his "charisma". Bisping evokes a reaction from fans so they wanna see him get smashed By or smash silva and he has the ability to talk up the fight. Does the weidman fight have enough broad appeal? Dana may think not.

I don't think it would do it doing any harm giving Lombard a title shot after his first win? He has a shockingly impressive winning streak and from what I've seen of him, he looks devastating.
So on that basis IMO I think if he performs then he should get a shot.
