The only thing accurate about both sub grappling and or MMA becoming Olympic sports is "one day" i am sure one day both will but nobody knows how far or soon for sure.
However the exiting thing is that the discussions are being had, that MMA is in the minds of the Olympic comity and the press are being reprogrammed.
Thanks to the IMMAF the perceptions are being changed from barbaric "cage fighting" to the sport of "mixed martial arts"
Our fighters are being scene as athletes rather than thugs.
This for me above all is the great thing about this press release.

the summer olympics will be maxed out at 28 sports again in 2016 with rugby and golf. the charter prevents more than 28 summer olympic sports. So something will have to be dropped for something else to get added. And I can think of about 15 sports that will get added before MMA will be.
If BJJ went in as submission wrestling, it could be put under the sport of wrestling, and just be added as another discipline of wrestling.
