The most hilarious part of it is that if a governing body was around she would never have been allowed to referee.
When she was part of a WUMA they wouldn't let her referee because she was so awful at it.
She used her fake credentials to get a job in unregulated MMA and since being fired for making too many mistakes she has used that job position to get herself registered to referee amateur MMA in the states.

What she doesnt realise is that whilst the press may be more interested in a negative story about Cage Fighting" corruption at present because she is unknown, if she one day obtains the fame she craves they will look more closely about the truths that have been revealed and then write articles that are not so flattering.

I cant imagine that it will ever get that far as she is bound to start making all the same mistakes in the US and eventually none of them will use her either.

99% of people who so visciously slag the sport off have the smallest possible amount of knowledge about it. education creates enlightenment, the only way to change the perspective is to physically force them out of their bigoted bubble and open their eyes to the actual realities of the sport.
Scotland is very passionate about the way that MMA is perceived, 2 examples.

Stef Lach who works for the Herald Sport decided to find out what it was like for a fighter to go through a fight camp and cut weight, even though he was a believer beforehand he wanted to find out what physically and mentally these guys had to go through so he could have some idea, first hand, and hold a better appreciation for the sport.

There was opposition from a local MP, Sandra White regarding us putting on the 1st Female Pro MMA bout in Scotland. In a nutshell she tried to make things difficult in the local press and the venue we were using saying that it shouldn't be allowed yet she has previously campaigned for equal opportunities for Women.

We spend a good few days fending off the local press and giving statements and a couple of the guys from the Dinky Ninja's started hounding her on Twitter to get her to come down to their gym to see what it was like and change that perception of MMA. She duly obliged and had her eyes opened somewhat at the 'normalness' of the competitors and as far as I know she left, not agreeing with what MMA was but had more of an understanding. She had even made a previous comment that 'someone had died doing MMA, somewhere' which I laughed at as it was a ridiculous statement

A journalist with no experience attended our show in Scotland, his report was a bit mixed, I'll try and find it.
Stef Lach and David Bateman are 2 reporters who are doing great things in Scotland promoting the sport in the Newspapers. I remember them going to their first Pro Weigh ins at On Top and them telling me they couldn't believe what the fighters put themselves through to make weight.

i have got ITV coming to interview me as part of a documentary on Welsh MMA.
They will be spending a few weeks filming the team train ready for Pain Pit Fight Night 4 and will then be at the show filming through out the day.
They will also be filming my under 17s MMA class and speaking to some of the kids parents and the Youth Offending Service about the positive effect the sport is having on the youngsters at the club.
Then on sept 23rd they will be filming the Marc Goddard Ref and Rules seminar that I have organised for Welsh Teams and organisers, they specifically asked to do this to show that we are trying our best to get the sport more regulated.

Fingers crossed it will show that some of us are working hard to get the sport the recognition it deserves

Shock n Awe have a really good relationship with our "local" newspaper, they regularly do pre and post SnA articles and have only ever been positive. Many of the articles are 2 page spreads. We give free tickets to all the local papers ect and it's really helped IMO.

I believe that we are in a key position right now whereby the sport is getting increasing attention (good and bad), so we all have to play a part in educating and positively influencing others. marketing and promotional material is a little subjective. unfortunately some people absolutely believe they are promoting the sport postively using sensationalist images and wording. Some have short term financial return at the forefront of their mind, but its going to be hard to control. WE have to keep shouting about the positives and less obvious struggles within the sport louder than those who for my liking are potentially harming mainstream appeal by sensationalising violence. if the figthers and coaches chose to alienate such shows they would have no product. If some mma journos were honest about their assessments of shows and broadcast their short comings, this would either help them improve or sink them. Poor shows are still supported, therefore they are finanically viable. hurt them in the pocket and they simply cant continue. collective voices are more easily heard. on the flip side we need to celebrate thsoe that make advancements and positive contributions. this will encourage and help gain momentum.

no way journos could help sink any shit local show imo most people (fans) are not connected with the scene that go, they are going to see their doorman mate smash a lithuanian regardless of what any journo thinks.

poor shows are not only financially viable for themselves they are viable for the fighter to, he can sell a load of tickets to his mates. I've seen very decent standard fighters on terrible shows just because they are local to them, cant blame them really.

Only way I can see anything working is either law obviously or actual teams boycotting like you say. That way if you want to fight on bash and smash cage carnage 8 you couldn't train at a proper team. Then again a club will probably pop up to house those that want to bash and smash on bash and smash, its so difficult
