In the fights I care about, I got Henderson (although I would prefer if Diaz won), Gustaffson, MacDonald, Swick, and Jorgensen.

I'm hoping that Diaz, Shogun and Bj win though I think they will all get beat. Swick to beat Brown, Siver and Edwards also to get the win in the fights I care about.

Nam Phan/ Dennis Siver Total Rounds Over 1.5 or 2.5- I really expect this fight to go the distance, Siver has shown finishing skills but I would think he will be more focused on scoring points and pacing himself. Phan is a tough guy and should keep this fight competitive and the end result will be a judgeís decision. Play the over.
Raphael Assuncao $2.67 vs Mike Easton $1.49
Honestly I am not a big fan, or at least I wasnít, of Mike Easton. I felt that he had been built up with some fabricated hype and his two UFC wins prior to the Menjivar fight were over relative unknowns. After his win over Ivan I gained some serious respect for what he is capable of doing in the cage. I honestly gave a long look at this fight after it was announced and I wanted to exhausted all manners in which Assuncao could pick up the win. He is a solid vet with a good ground game and above average striking. If Easton wasnít coming off of a win over a guy like Menjivar then I would have my doubts in this fight, but in reality if Easton handled Menjivar, he should be able to to do the same against Assuncao. I donít want to sell Raphael short and if he does win this fight he moves right into the mix, but he will have to do things that others havenít been able to. Getting Easton to the ground and then keeping him there is a difficult task and no one has been able to do it so far. On the feet Assuncao is pretty decent, but the way in which Easton walked through Menjivarís strikes leads me to believe that Raphael is going to have to put one right on the button to stop Easton or else we are going to see something similar. Easton is a physically imposing guy with a tonne of confidence and as soon as he starts pressing the action and backing his opponent down it can become incredibility difficult for his adversary to stick to a gameplan. Again I really looked at Assuncao to see if he had a chance to pull of the upset and when it came right down to it I just donít see it happening. If you can get Easton between $1.50 and $1.40 then I would say bet him on his own, if he gets down into the $1.30 range double him up with any of the other $1.30ish favs that I have already picked. You can also include him on your parlays, I would say the vat majority of them makes sense. For Assuncao he has some value, but I would only bet on him if you hav a some extra bankroll.

Ben Henderson (C) vs. Nate Diaz Close fight goes distance but Diaz gets it due to his strikes. Even if henderson gets him down i cant see him doing a great deal of damage.

Shogun Rua vs. Alexander Gustafsson Shogun has a point to prove something inside me is telling me tonight he proves it. round 1 ko

BJ Penn vs. Rory MacDonald It depends which BJ turns up but he has the tools to take Macdonald apart distance.

Mike Swick vs. Matt Brown Id love Brown to win this although Swick takes it round 2

My worry is that if Diaz vs Henderson goes the distance it will be a likely ud to Henderson. He is a smart fighter, he certainly won't gas and he will mix up striking with takedowns and positional control. He knows he can't finish Nate and will be well aware that he has to win the rounds. Nate will fight for the finish as he always does and that could be to his detriment. Hope Nate smashes him, I just don't see him doing it.
Bj vs McDonald is close to being a mismatch IMO. The guy should be fighting fckin feather weights, not blown up welters. No respect for Rory calling out bj, he's only done it cus he knows he has a massive size/strength advantage and it's a big name. If he wants to fight for the title he should be fighting guys like kos or ellenburger, but I suppose he realises that these guys can possibly beat him?

Henderson/Diaz didn't go the way I was hoping it would go, but it did go the way I was expecting it to go.

And MacDonald beat the fuck out of BJ. I love it!

BJ doesn't belong at WW and hasn't for a while. He should either drop back down to LW for a couple more fights to see what happens or leave it alone now.

If BJ fought his entire career at 155, he would be considered probably the greatest fighter of all time.

But as such he will just be remembered as a very, very good fighter, but not great.
