    Default Cage Warriors Awards 2012

Cage Warriors will be polling for 2012 Awards from December 12 and are looking for feedback on who should be nominated in the following categories:

    Fighter of the Year
    Fight of the Year
    KO of the Year
    Submission of the Year
    Event of the Year
    Moment of the Year

Any thoughts? To get the ball rolling, here's my two cents:

Fighter of the Year: Conor McGregor
Fight of the Year: Cathal Pendred v David Bielkheden (Cage Warriors 47)
KO of the Year: Faycal Hucin's KO of Gareth Joseph (CWFC Fight Night 3)
Submission of the Year: Kris Edwards v Brian Hyslop (Cage Warriors 48)
Event of the Year: Cage Warriors 47
Moment of the Year: Chris Fields' kick to the chin of John Phillips (Cage Warriors 48)

Agree with all but one of those Paul - Fighter of the Year, IMO, is Alers.

Fighter of the Year - James Brum
Fight of the Year - Caers vs. Reed - Great back and forth battle.
KO of the Year - Hucin vs. Joseph
Submission of the Year - Either of John Phillips, Never saw them coming. Probably the triangle against Penz edges it.
Event of the Year - Cage Warriors 47
Moment of the Year - Fields kicking Phillips in the chin after being goaded into engaging.

Fighter of the Year - Conor McGregor
Fight of the Year - Pendred vs. Bielkheden
KO of the Year - Brad Scott's left hook to the body v Mok Rahman
Submission of the Year - Pavel Kusch's omoplata v Alexander Starikov
Event of the Year - Cage Warriors 47
Moment of the Year - If there's prizes involved, then I'm gonna say a certain UK MMA media personality stepping up after the weigh-ins had taken place to take on a dangerous Irish-Russian, and winning via gruelling UD

We're still seeking sponsors for a couple of the categories here. Companies will have exclusive sponsorship of their category and will only be asked to provide a prize e.g. gear, supplements etc. for the winning fighter(s) in their category. Would be a nice little boost for a fighter coming up to Christmas. We'll be pushing this with a lot of publicity on our website, social media and press releases. PM me if you're interested.
