Knocking back the title fight was the right decision, but it's funny how things work out as now Joanne is fighting a different opponent after all.
Having trained for Bec, she didn't want to switch opponent last minute, and that's exactly what ends up happening.
Here's hoping she smashes Livia and gets a title shot sooner rather than later.

Stef I think the level of prep required to take on a known World-class champion compared to a relatively unknown is miles apart. Jo has been in a fight camp, I don't know if Livia has been albeit she does have an excellent team training her.

Did some research, she trained over the summer with Team Quest but she actually lives in Vienna in Austria so she won't have the consistent level of training partner Jo does
Scotlands No. 1 Timekeeper also available as a BJJ/No Gi referee

    Good point.
Anyway, it's on now so let's just hope she batters seven shades out of Livia.

The main reason we ( me and Paul) turned down the fight was one Bec Hyatt stylistically is completely different from Carla Esparza ones a scrappy brawler the others a very good wrestler the other reason is Joanne isn't far off a title shot at invicta, maybe one fight. If we took the fight with Carla unprepared and lost Joanne wouldn't be getting a shot at the invicta title any time soon. The invicta belt along with the on top belt are on Joanne's list of goals.

Joanne with the proper preperation will beat Carla

James, do you know much about Livia? Also does she have a similair style to Bec?

I'm hoping both Joanne and Bec win and they fight for the title.

TBH I'd rather see Joanne fight Carla, it'd certainly be a test for her and one that she'd come through hopefully.

Livia has a background in kickboxing and k1 with just under 20 fights (also fought Muay Thai and spent time in Thailand)

Her gym in Austria had a BJJ black belt patching there, she's now at team quest full time and win her MMA debut by Tko

    Joanne's looking better than ever.

I don't think your going to see Joanne v Bec any time soon, expect Joanne to win and Bec to be in trouble against Carla will be suprised if it goes past the second round, pretty sure they won't match Joanne with Bec unless they both win.
