I'm not sure when and where but Brett did win them.
Also he smashed the "bad boy" of Judo Ashley McKenzie 6 times in 1 year but got overlooked for the Olympic squad for shady reasons.
He sued the Judo association and they settled out of court but they dragged it out so long he still didn't get to go to the Olympics.
After that he lost faith with the Judo. Their loss is our gain IMO.

As it says on Wikipedia judo was replaced for the games in 2006 by handball so the commonwealth judo games was hosted in 2005 in Ireland insteadplenty of judo videos on YouTube if you type my name in
