    Welterweight mate. If I remember rightly, I called his opponent's first pro fight and he's one hell of a judoka.

    yeah it's at welterweight he's fighting Chris Thirkell who's a Judo black belt and is the judo instructor of some the best fighters in the North East.

    He's a character with a pretty good ju-jitsu game, triangle being his favourite submission.

    Neil laird would fight anyone. I reckon his hardest ever fights have been with the scales though.
