A Fighters Heart was a really enjoyable book. Jens Pulver's 'Never' was pretty good too.

A Fighters Heart - Sam Sheridan
A Fighters Mind - Sam Sheridan
Jens Pulver 'One Ultimate Fighters Rise to the Top'
^ They're all top rate books. The opening to Jens Pulvers is overwhelming when he describes the scenario with his father.

I reviewed Stann's book when I wrote for MMAHQ.
Probably the best mma related book I've read although the best bits are the non mma related bits ironically.

^past tense? you stopped writing for them?

Randy's wasn't great, BJ's is ok, loved Forrest's though its not exactly an autobiography. Jen's is hard hitting at times and a decent read. Got fighters heart, not read it yet though.
Smell my beans. You want to taste my beans don't you. Yes, yes you do.
Yeah the guy stopped the site to work on some other stuff last summer. Shame really as the traffic, but more importantly the quality, had increased quite a bit in the few years I was there and there were a few of us covering live events.
I think judging a lot more last year made me realize that I couldn't objectively do both properly.
I can't be writing "10 reasons why fighter x will never beat fighter y" or the opinion based pieces that were the most fun to do because of potential conflict of interests.
I cover videogames for Fighters Only and do a few other things for them as well as sporadic event reports for Yourmma when they happen.
The main writing I do now is on my blog, which is like some kind of beat mma diary.http://bencartlidgesupermma.blogspot.co.uk/
That's where it all started, so it's kind of nice somehow to come full circle.

Well this is exciting...quite a few to read then (off to Amazon). Ben's got me thinking, what about must read blogs? MMA has always been a digital movement, but has 'the blog' doen much? I read those from James Thompson, Rosi, Paul McVeigh, Dem Marquez, Martin Hines...is there a much read subscription?
