Default Josh Barnett added to UFC.com

Despite not being included in the list of Strikeforce fighters moving to the UFC, Josh Barnett's profile has today appeared on UFC.com.

I don't understand why the UFC wouldn't sign him, yes he's been done for juicing but so has Leben, Overeem, Sylvia etc etc... He's ranked 9th in the world and has only lost to the best fighters in the world and 86% of the time he's going to win.

no doubt he is a good fighter but he has let the UFC down twice with his juicing

Technically the first wasn't reported officially but I know what you're saying.

Its just the list of fighters that have juiced and then been allowed back especially Leben who has done it twice...

Marquardt, Sylvia, Overeem, Belfort, Baroni, Sherk, Franca, Big Foot, Sonnen, Irvin, Silva etc etc it goes on, all people allowed back to fight for the UFC after being banned.

He's been clean since and has gone 19-4 since winning/losing the title to Randy at UFC 36 over 10 years ago beating the likes of Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mark Hunt, Alexander Emelianenko, Jeff Monson, Sergei Kharitonov, Brett Rogers. I'd like to see him be given another shot.

The interesting thing here though is the fact that his profile went onto the site, surely that was a sign that he has either signed but no-one yet knows about it, he was in advanced negotiations and the UFC felt that it was a done deal

    or

it was pending a Strikeforce drug test in which the result depended on his inclusion into the UFC. That kind of makes sense as mis-communication could have got the pic put up there in the first place with the person doing the website not realising it was/is pending a drug test.

    All only my opinion

I'm still torn on what too think. Two other instances in the past year make it harder to choose what to believe.

First off there was Bibiano Fernandes who, after Dream fell apart, one day randomly appeared on UFC.com and reports circulated that he had signed. He denied it, rumours didn't die down but then he went on to sign with One FC citing it was better on the whole for his family.

Next there was Ronda Rousey. Again, her profile popped up on UFC.com out the blue and the internet went nuts with reports she'd signed. Following the reports he profile went down, both her and the UFC denied it and then within a week or so they were officially announcing it and now we get to see the first ever female UFC fight in history in just over five weeks.

So personally i'm sitting on the fence for the time being.

they like trolling us with their website. they probably refer to the fighters list as the troll section of their site

seems a tad silly for such a big org to imply they have certain fighters under contract before it's inked.
'I really loved the fighting, and the extreme cage they use. Its just so extreme and awesome. '
