Jon Fitch $1.54 vs Demian Maia $2.69- All week I debated who should be #1 on the Value list- Maia or McCall. I had Maia had #1 in my head, but then I started to look at their opponents- Fitch is a former title challenger and incredibly difficult to finish with the grappling skills and stamina to grind out a win if he can survive the first 5 minutes. While as I mentioned above I have been impressed with Benavidez at all and then when you figure in the betting price on each fighter McCall got the bump. Hieron moved ahead of Maia as well because frankly I don’t think he should be the underdog against Woodley making his value a little higher again. Fitch is a tough guy when he is able to implement his heavy top game and grind his opponent into the mat, but we have seen on a number of occasions that he has trouble when put on the defensive. Of the guys that have had success against Fitch, Maia is the most capable of finishing him. We have seen Fitch put in some bad position, the type that if Maia gets Fitch most likely won’t get out of them. One of the other reasons I dropped Maia on the value list is his conditioning. We haven’t seen him go beyond the the halfway mark of the opening round at 170 and if his cardio doesn’t hold up he is going to get wreck by Fitch and potentially even stopped. My thought process is to make a decent size single bet on Maia and use him in your parlays, but with caution this is easily his biggest test at 170.

Glieson Tibau/ Evan Dunhan Total Rounds Over 2.5- Taking a quick look at their respective records- both have gone the distance in close to 50% of their fights. Tibau 17 of 34 & Dunham 6 of 16. Tibau has 8 decisions in his last 10 outings and Dunham 4 of his last 6. I really don’t see either guy putting the other away so the over is the play to make if you are unsure who take in this pick’em fight.

Agree with you on the Fitch vs Maia fight i've stuck a fiver on a 4/1 sub for Maia just because i'm not that sure he will catch a sub but also because I agree if he gets chance on the ground this is a whole different ballgame for Fitch defending subs off somebody as good at jits as Maia is. I honestly think this is a bad matchup for Fitch he might want to keep this standing....and i never thought id say that with Fitch.

Part of me wants Maia to win to i think hes entertaining to watch and when it goes to the ground there is nobody better to watch in MMA. Pure genius on the matt. Also Fitch is never going to beat GSP or get finished by GSP.....Maia could catch a sub vs GSP but again i'd say GSP keeps it standing?! Interesting fight imo both of those.

Think it has Fitch by Decision all day long, reckon he is able to get enough takedown's and do enough rounds to get at least 2 rounds in the bag and take the win. Maia is dangerous off his back but think that Fitch will be able to neutralize him.

    I'm betting on:

Overeem, Evans, Tibau and Fitch in a Accumulator

Also added in Yves Edwards and Jacob Volkmann to another Accumulator with the above 4.
If you didn't see it with your own eyes, or hear it with your own ears, don't invent it with your small mind and share it with your big mouth!

The Maia vs Fitch fight is definitely interesting one and I've stuck a couple of quid on Maia to win by sub. I think if anyone is going to find the sub finish against Fitch it's him. Love watching him fight when his BJJ is on full display. When he tried to stand with people that's when it all went a little wrong!

I've also gone Benavidez, Overeem, Evans, Aldo.

But Aldo vs Edgar is going to be one interesting fight. The more I talk with people the more I really think Edgar can do it. Both guys are create fighters. I'm more of an Aldo fan and I think he will get it but if Edgar really pushes the fight we could see a new champ.

Not that Suprised by the Maia fight. Good to see John Fitch get fitched! Pretty ironic that he was complaining in the 3rd as he was being dominated the same way he does to all of his opponents. Maia is a real threat to just about everyone at ww, should have always fought at this weight

Agreed also think that nobody wants to see Fitch get another shot at GSP because he'll just lose a 5 rounder again....Maia is awesome to watch he could sub GSP and that IS interesting because why would GSP want to take him down?!
