The most important thing, whether you agree or not with the accusations, is that mcbb has started an entertaining thread!

No. White belt in grammar! Seems like mcblackbelt is Shaun Taylor except he would just say shit and not hide behind an assumed name! Does sound like his hit list though!

Writing under an alias here cause I am a fucking coward like that McBlackbelt character.

Having trained in America and Brazil the problem I see is the same as they had 5 years ago in America, and earlier in Brazil. It is the same with any grading system that has been developed. In the beginning the grades are given by people who care about the art form, and would never give a grade that is not hard contested (Sorry to say this apart from Royce Gracie who has always given blue belts for money. I have a blue belt under him, costing £25 at the time. Payed for after an Edingburgh -no gi- seminar, and after going to Brazil and training in a a few gyms over there, I became a figure of mirth as the white belts tapped me with ease. "Falso" was my sweet nickname in one gym. Made me look even more of a dick than I am.)

Any way getting back to the point. Now when training in America a lot of people have got black belts. Look at somewhere like Vegas. The number of black belts in that city of 589,317 is easily over 200. Look at Scotland with a population of 5 million and more. Maybe there are 10 black belts at a push? There are so many blackbelts in Brazil and America that they are not held in that god like status in which they used to be. Being a blue belt or a purple belt means so little it's funny. So when I see these arguments it makes me smile. All these blackbelts need to make money. How do they make money you ask. Well that's teaching and grading people. Anyways arguing about these things then is bullshit. So don't do it. In five years time I will here this on this forum. "Who's a real Blackbelt then?" Will be the question of the day.

Scotlands Bjj is getting better every month. Gods speed to the pajama gang.

How do you judge a grappler then? Well I judge it on how well they have done in competition or and what their students have achieved. Why train with Marcelo Garcia? Question answered. When you go to vegas who is the Blackbelt you choose. Mark Laimon or Robert Drysdale. Why choose Eddie Bravo? Look at the wins his students have. Simple as.

One thing that needs put to bed thats been mentioned on here, Shaun Taylor isnt McBlackbelt. Anyone who knows Shaun knows that if he has a problem with someone he'll say it under his own name to their face. He doesnt even come on here

Shaun's actually not allowed on here, just need to get him banned from Facebook and the world will be a quieter place, oh and BTW, between this and Ricky Gillon's facebook rant about white belts fighting in the white belt division!?! you are all a bit mental, go train.
