Well done to Ben getting some recognition and a nice assignment.

On the flip side (and i'm not taking anything away from Ben here), he was just doing what he should be doing and his job effectively. Has judging got that bad that that we see good decisions now in the minority?.

Like I say, not taking anything away from Ben as he comes across as a knowledgeable and sound guy.
Heavyweight CW Prediction Record (7-3). All good in the hood

Agreed, close fight but Gomi edged it imho.

I didn't even think it was that close, thought Gomi more than edged it and was on a clear rout the win column!

I wouldnt have called it a totally one sided beat down, thought both had moments, Gomi won it though.

It depends how you look at it really. If you give points for striking, grappling and octagon control then Gomi was the clear winner.

However if you score it as two empty takedowns win the fight then Sanchez definitely deserved the W.

Maybe I need to watch it again, I thought Gomi controlled the fight and won it, but I dont think he dominated at the same time in the way say Yahya did in the first 2 rounds of his fight.

Anwyay, Gomi got robbed, Ben called it right, all is good in the world.
