Is it right for a 17 year old to fight pro?

Many of the posts on this thread are missing the point. The issue is the confused legal status of 16-18 year olds who are considered to be adults in some contexts but not others. Only this morningthere was a news item on BBC breakfast arguing the case why a 17 year old should be treated as a minor when in plice custody. It doesn't matter how good an individual is; it's about the presumed capacity (or lack thereof) of the many individuals who are not that good to meaningfully give informed consent to participation

17 year old fighter wanting to turn Professional under the umbrella of a non-sanctioned event that's insured (I hope) with no possible way of prosecution should said fighter choose to proceed or not.

Fucking a 15 year old girl under the umbrella of the law, getting found out and sent to prison.

I know we're talking semantics, but I don't get the comparison.

That facts it's non sanctioned makes it worse (IMO) that's like saying that putting on an event makes it out with the law. Under 18 is legally not an adult in the uk (can't vote, buy alcohol etc) so what if you put on a cage shagging event where you shagged birds in a cage for sport and some of those birds were under the legal age of consent, should you then be immune from prosecution as you've put on a "non sanctioned" event?

That's technically not true that you're not an adult if you're not 18 because pre-18 you can fuck and drive etc... thats like saying in America you're a child till the age of 21. I don't spot the similarity between ''cage fighting'' and ''cage shagging'' but if there is an event of such nature where there is a mass orgy can you give me a call?... I have a few friends that would be bang up for that.
