Default How much do you train?

Just wondering how pros and amatures training schedules look like.

    How many days per week?
How many hours per week or class?
    Which disciplines?
Are you a professorial or amature and record?

    Cheers!

Looking to add wrestling x 2, 1.5hours hours per week

Looking to have first amateur fight with in the next year.

Typical day for me is as follows

7.30am Wake up jog to gym 15 minute stretches followed by 25 minute cardio then lastly 30 minutes strength and conditioning.

depending on how busy work is sometimes I manage a 40 minute swim at 1 pm

6 - 9 what ever training we are doing.

This is typically 6 days a week the only time it changes is on a weekend when I attend 2 Thai classes in place of the gym and mma.

Hope that helps Im not pro but try to train as serious as my job allows.

What are you looking for from this information?

I imagine most fighters schedules are different. Some pro fighters work full time jobs so will slot training in where possible. Some pro fighters train full time so can train 3 times a day just about everyday.

I fight pro and and don't train much at all I run twice a week if I get the time. I may kick pads if I get chance before a fight and I roll about the house and choke my kids out as often as possible oh and I do natural body weight exercises as often as possible.

Probably no help at all mate but thought I would throw it out there lol

BJJ for about 5hrs a week plus 2-3 weights sessions. Two kids under 3 and work commitments limit my mat time

But in all seriousness; if I was expecting to do remotely well today (I have fought pro rules in the past), I'd expect to be striking at least 3 x 1-2 hours a week and sub wrestling 2 x 1.5hours per week at the very least. With that kind of time toward training I wouldn't hope to achieve much more than a few wins on the local or English circuit unless I was some kind of young hungry prodigy.
