    Default how long before a fight should you start cutting weight?

    how long should you start cutting weight before a fight and how is the healthiest way to cut weight when should you start couple month's before fight or closer to the fight?

    Depends what your weight is, what you're getting down to and whether you're actually cutting (as in water weight etc.).

    Healthiest way is to eat clean and reduce the weight gradually over a long period of time.

    All I'd add is that you need to be fighting at the right weight to start with as well. Most good MMA gyms will have experienced coaches and a strength & conditioning coach to help talk you through this and monitor your progress. at a pro level and depending on your walk around weight to fight weight, cutting can be a bit like jumping out of a plane and trying to land on a postage stamp so you need a good team to hit the mark safely.

    my weight at the minute is just under 14 stone, got to get done 13.3 stone (84kg) fight in mid sept

    This might seem a joke, but it really isn't. Colonic irrigation might help with a few unecessary pounds.
