Our man Harry Williams caught up with Max Nunes following his recent win over Marcin Lazarz at BAMMA 12.

The modest Swede says he's not sure if the major promotions are interested depsite his 10-0 slate, and he's just concentrating on getting the BAMMA title:

"I don’t know if I have [big promotions interested], really," admitted Max. "To be honest, it isn’t something I think about. I have a great team of coaches and management who worry about things like that. For now, I’m with BAMMA, so they have all my attention."

Max Nunes vs Linton Vassell would make for a great title fight.

BAMMA need to introduce more title fights away from the 'British' titles and this would be a good starter.

QFT but I don't think it will happen. Both are on different shows and either or both should be picked up by the UFC within the next 2 fights

I've said this before that Nunes v Vassell would be a great fight for the fans much in the same light as Sinclair v Warburton.

It's whether Nunes and Vassell would want to risk a loss at this stage being probably close to the UFC and like Sledge said both on different shows so cant see a solution to that unfortunately

If they actually fought each other maybe the UFC would take notice and give the winner a contract.

Thats pathetic mate they should just get it on and give the uk mma fans a war they deserve. Dana has a huge list of fighters all over the world its not the win bracket that gets guys in the UFC its who they have beat. Thats how it goes down 90% of the time anyway.

Example a 4 0 guy has more chance of getting in if he has beat 4 well known high level opponents then a 16 0 guy whos been padded.

Yes, but in this case both guys have proved to be legit and have taken on decent guys IMO 2 and 3 in the UK LHW division.

I don't think either guys would not want to fight. Maybe a case of which show as Linton's always on UCMMA as presumably a decent ticket seller and Nunes contracted to BAMMA. Saying that if BAMMA are going to London next then it could well make sense?

This ^ they're ranked 1 and 2 because Manuwa comes out of the UK rankings imo when you reach the UFC because there's no point you being in there and compared to domestic guys.

I'd love to see it happen and if they went to London it could make sense.

for someone on the cusp of a lucrative dream career move, caution is understandable as well as potentially frustrating for the fans. in ten years time, no fucker will care if the fans at a leisure centre in Bracknell got what they deserved. nothing against Bracknell or UK MMA fans, just sayin. most fighters would hope to pick Vegas.

what's the latest on dana and records? he said 'go pad your record' a while back and everyone made a big deal of it. smash a list of bums, go 11-0 and you'll get a call. fight the toughest guys you can, gain invaluable experience but go 6-5 and you won't get a call.

does you know if dana has publically clarified his stance on this recently?
