Default Nate Diaz suspended by UFC

Nate Diaz has been suspended by UFC after calling Bryan Caraway a fag on twitter yesterday.

it's disingenious to suggest that term isn't associated with gay people, like his manager did:

In fairness, I don't really have a point here. I wanted to write those words out in caps and that's it.

Haha I love freedom of speech arguments in situations like this. He is an employee. Whenever he speaks in public, he is seen as such. Inescapable fact. Now. I know this isn't perfectly analogous, but if you worked in a supermarket and were overheard by a customer, calling another worker there a 'COMPLETE FUCKING CUNT' even without using homophobic language, you can expect a telling off. Which is pretty much all this is. Matt the meathead was much worse and he was back in 3 weeks

I think he used the word in a general term as in a twat, c**t etc and probably not meant in a "homophobic" way.

You say about him being an employee but everyone deserves a private life aswell? He cant be ridiculed about everything he ever does or says. I understand it was directed at another "employee" of Zuffa and not just a random person but seems a bit harsh to suspend someone for saying one word that is not the harshest of words out there.

I am not really that bothered about it, yes he was probably wrong but doesnt deserve to be cut for it
If you didn't see it with your own eyes, or hear it with your own ears, don't invent it with your small mind and share it with your big mouth!

Everyone deserves a private life but the comment was public. Plus all the fighters have to follow the code of conduct that the UFC brought in to try and curb things like this.

I dont think he was ever going to be cut for the comment, was more the UFC showing there hard stance on discriminatory comments.
