    Default firas zahabi Tristar Credentials

Firas Zahabi Tristar credentials are obviously huge as he is at the very top as an MMA coach. What is his background? Can't see any MMA record or BJJ. Just wondering really out of interest.

Thanks in advance for any response.

    Canadian Muay Thai champion
Black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu from John Danaher
Won two provincial gold medals in freestyle wrestling

Think he was studying to become a Lawyer and just had a real passion for the "Art" and was offered a job as an instructor and the rest is history!

Watch either episode 2 or 3 from UFC Primetime from this past week that is promoting GSP's fight with Hendricks, one of the mentioned episodes has a good 5 min piece on him and how he became GSP/Tristar head coach.

He done a great job with gsp and rory. Not my cup of tea personally (I dont find either fighter in any way exciting to watch) but I can see Rory being GSPs natural successor.

Greg Jackson a fraud! Really, how many champions has he trained? Ridiculous comment! The best fighters dont necessarilly make the best coaches or even good coaches. You can look at most sports to see this is regulaly the case
