Default UFC changes its post-fight bonus structure

it always seems weird not to give bonuses when no-one gets submitted for example, but there was something cool about 'KO of the night' and 'sub of the night' - you could hang your hat on that as a KO artist/submission specialist

    any thoughts on this?

“Effective immediately, UFC will award ‘Fight of the Night’ bonuses to each of the fighters in the best fight of the night, as well as additional ‘Performance of the Night’ bonuses to the two best individual performances on the card,” the UFC’s statement read. “The bonus amounts will remain $50,000. The ‘Performance of Night’ bonuses will reward the athletes who put on the best and most exciting individual performances.”
'Go read a fucking book, you piece of shit.'

I like it! Coz you see a lot of fight where one guy batters the other for the 3 or 5 rounds, but just doesn't seem to stop him. Like Cain vs JDS 2.

There has been events where there has only been one sub on the card & so by default they win the bonus regardless of whether its a great submission or over a tricky opponent.

My only fear though is that the bonuses will automatically go to guys involved in tear-ups & the techinical side of MMA will be ignored.
