Thread: Belfort drops out of Title fight

Default Belfort drops out of Title fight

What do you all make of this?

personally think it's a bit rediculous to claim he doesn't have time to prepare, yet expects the replacement fighter to be able to prepare in the same time frame.

was always a big vitor fan but these days he makes it hard. they take away his performance enhancing drugs and he basically decides he doesn't want it all that much.

interested in this new fight though.

Didn't belfort say he wouldn't be able to get licensed in time rather than prepare? (aka cycle off)

Yeah that is what I thought.

A while back Vitor said he couldn't fight without them, now they are banned in Nevada he is apparently going to cycle off them & train naturally to fight in future.
Or just fight exclusively in Brazil!!!

Got to say I think this is great, hopefully other states follow suit & eventually we get a full ban of TRT.

The UFC followed suit and banned it in all states, countries etc.

Cheers for that, I'd only read that it was banned in Nevada.
Good to see the UFC making this stand, will be interesting to see how certain fighters perform in the future.

Belfort saying that the UFC pulled him from the fight, not that he pulled out.

If they did it was because they knew he would fail the testing!
