Thread: Gassing before a fight. Reasons ?

    i used to warm up for over 30 minutes trying to go into the fight on second wind,last few fights ive warmed up for 15 min max and felt much better for it.

    like everything else i think this will be specific to individual fighters

    The reason I believe, is because when you start to exercise, your body has something called oxygen debt where it needs more oxygen than it can utilise at that point. When youre properly warmed up and have been going for a bit, your body can actually utilise more oxygen than it can when it's cold and erases the oxygen debt. This increases your VO2 max. Basically you're overcoming oxygen debt which can be explained by a little graph but I'm too lazy to draw one haha!
