Watch Cage Warriors 43 LIVE Tonight From 7pm UK Time
The Cage Warriors Fighting Championship returns to the HMV Forum in London later tonight with a stacked 13 bout fight card which will be shown LIVE around the world on CageWarriors.com, www.mmajunkie.com, Facebook and Television.
Fans can watch the action from 7pm UK Time (2pm. ET / 11am. PT in the United States). Headlining the event is the eleventh ranked UK Middleweight Jack “The Stone” Mason (15-7-0) as he takes on the tenth ranked European Middleweight Norman Paraisy (9-1-1-1nc). Mason is no stranger to UK fans having plied his trade on the UK professional circuit since 2005 and is known for being a tough all-round fighter. With 13 of his 15 career wins inside the distance, the Englishman knows how to entertain and will look to add another stoppage win to his record after going the distance last time out against Allan Love at CWFC 41 in April.
Whilst Paraisy travels to London looking to continue his five bout unbeaten streak which he has built since his exit from the “Ultimate Fighter” season 11 show in 2010. Unlike his opponent, Paraisy has fought around the world and last time out he defeated the former WEC Champion Paulo Filho in Brazil. He will look to continue his unbeaten streak on these shores when he fights Mason in front of a live television and internet audience.
The night’s co-main sees the undefeated Irishman Joseph Duffy (9-0-0) take on his fellow Countryman Francis Heagney (9-4-0) in a Lightweight clash. Duffy makes his fourth appearance on Cage Warriors since returning from his brief stint on the “Ultimate Fighter” season 12 show last year. With all nine wins coming inside the first round against the likes of Norman Parke (14-2), Conor McGregor (8-2) and Oriol Gaset (11-7), the 23 year old Irishman has rightly earned a reputation for being one of Europe’s best young prospects. Whilst Heagney comes into this bout with 3 wins in his last 4 fights and holds wins over the likes of the TUF 8 veteran Wes Murch, Brad Wheeler and the current UCMMA Champion Tim Radcliffe. At home both standing and on the floor; Heagney poses a formidable test for the unbeaten 23 year old, when they meet later tonight.
Also on the CWFC 43 main card is the long awaited and much talked about re-match between bitter rivals Brad Wheeler (5-5-0) and Ian “The Whirlwind” Entwistle (4-0-0). Both men first met at CWFC 41 when Wheeler was disqualified midway through round 1 for illegal shots to the back of Entwistle’s head. Now after nearly 3 months of internet tirades and trash talk, they meet again in the CWFC cage, with both men promising to walk away with a clear victory.
Other action sees Andreas “Big Daddy” Kraniotakes (10-4-0) and Dave “The Iron Giant” Keeley (5-2-0) meet in a Heavyweight bout. Both men were victorious last month at CWFC Fight Night 1 in Amman, Jordan. As Kraniotakes stopped the top 10 UK ranked prospect Jay “Mean Streak” Mortimore in the main event. Whilst Keeley defeated the American Joel Wyatt (9-5) in his bout with a standing elbow shot. Kraniotakes will be looking to draw from his big fight experience as he attempts to negate his 6’10’’ opponent’s height and reach advantage.
Whilst starting the main card is a Middleweight match-up between the Team Lionheart fighter Craig White (5-2-0) and Brett Sizeland (3-1-0) of the MMA Clinic. Both men have fought previously on CWFC events with with mixed results. As Sizeland lost back in February by TKO against Tony Machado. Whilst Craig White started his CWFC career with a win over Dan Edwards by Triangle Choke at CWFC 41 before succumbing to a North-South Choke at the hands of Jake Hecht at CWFC 42 in May.
Whilst the main featured bouts are supported by some solid prelim match-ups. As the “Prospect Killer” Artem Lobov (2-1-0) looks to claim his third straight win when he faces Steve O’Keeffe (3-1-0) in Featherweight action. Whilst the four time CWFC veteran Adam Edwards (3-2-0) drops down a weight class to meet Ben “The Spider” Crook (7-6-0) in a Bantamweight bout. The experienced Frenchman Olivier Pastor (11-7-0-1nc) also features on the undercard against late replacement Niko Gjoka (5-5-0) who jumps up two weight divisions on late notice to make his CWFC debut. Whilst Danny Roberts (2-0-0) and David Howell (2-0-0) put their unbeaten records on the line when they start the pro card in a welterweight match-up.
