With Cage Warriors 44 just weeks away news has broke today that the UFC veteran Brian Foster (15-5) will be crossing the pond to face the popular UK Middleweight Jack “The Stone” Mason (17-8) at a Catchweight bout (set at 180 lbs) on October 1st at the HMV Forum in London, England.

A five year veteran of the sport; Foster started his MMA career in his home State of Oklahoma on the ‘Masters of the Cage’ promotion.  He soon amassed a record of 12-3 on his local circuit fighting in and around neighbouring States.  Highlights of this active three year run included a 7 bout unbeaten streak that saw him defeat the Bellator fighter Steve Carl and the well travelled veteran Nuri Shakir before making his UFC debut in September 2009.

Originally set to face Paul Daley on his UFC debut, Foster ended-up facing Rick Story after bouts were re-arranged due to injuries elsewhere on the card.  Although he tasted defeat on his first trip to the Octagon, the former HIT Squad product picked-up a ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus.  He returned to action just two months later against Brock Larsen where Foster overcame two separate fouls (an illegal kick and knee) to win by TKO at UFC 106, however he was unable to make it two wins in a row as he was submitted by Chris Lytle in his next bout at UFC 110.

After seven months out Foster returned to the Octagon and scored two straight wins as he defeated Forrest Petz in September 2010 by TKO in round 1 of their clash at UFC Fight Night 22, which also saw him earn Knockout of the night honours.  Whilst at UFC 123 he defeated Matt Brown by Guillotine choke in round two.

Since then the American has been sidelined by two well publicised injuries which have left him on the sidelines.  However Foster has since been given medical clearance to return to action and will make his CWFC debut against the experienced English all-rounder on October 1st in London.

Fans can experience this fight live from the HMV Forum in London, England on Saturday 1st October, buy your tickets today at
