Cage Warriors Fighting Championship officials can today confirm that the vacant CWFC middleweight world title will be on the line at Cage Warriors 69: Super Saturday.

The landmark event, which will be CWFC’s eighth of 2014, will feature two main cards in one evening, with all the action set to take place on Saturday, June 7, at The Forum in Kentish Town, London, England.

The event will conclude with the meeting of Stevie Ray and Curt Warburton for the vacant lightweight strap, but Cage Warriors gold will also be up for grabs in the headliner of the first of Super Saturday’s two main cards.

With both fighters unbeaten in their four CWFC outings each to date, Jack Hermansson and Norman Paraisy will collide in a bout for Cage Warriors’ 185lbs belt, which was vacated last year by Jesse Taylor.

Hermansson (7-2) has been in impressive form since returning to Cage Warriors earlier this year following a two-fight stint in the USA with Bellator.

The 25-year-old Swede, who fights out of Norway, stopped Enoc Solves Torres via TKO at Cage Warriors 66, before grinding out a hard-fought decision win over Ion Pascu last month at CWFC Fight Night 11.

Hermansson defeated both Ali Arish and Mike Ling by KO in his two previous bouts under the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship banner.

“This looks set to be one of Cage Warriors’ biggest ever events and to be fighting on it for the CWFC middleweight world title is such a huge opportunity for me,” Hermansson said.

“I will grab this chance with both hands and make a huge impression on everybody who’ll be tuning in from all over the world.”

Paraisy (14-3-2-1), who’s also a Bellator veteran and former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter, is unbeaten in his last five bouts and has been stopped just once in 20 professional outings.

The 28-year-old holds CWFC wins over Jack Mason, Allan Love and Leeroy Barnes, as well as a draw with former CWFC middleweight world champion Chris Fields.

Ahead of his clash with Hermansson for the CWFC title, charismatic Frenchman Paraisy has vowed to do his talking in the cage on June 7: “That belt is mine and nobody will stop me from taking it.”

Tickets for Cage Warriors 69: Super Saturday, priced from just £25, will go on sale HERE tomorrow, Friday, May 9, at 9am BST. Click HERE for more information on Super Saturday.
