CWFC Announce Line-Up For Enter The Rough House 5
Warrior Promotions MMA (UK) Limited are proud to announce the line-up for “Cage Warriors: Enter The Rough House 5” at the Harvey Hadden Centre in Nottingham, England on December 8th.
Known as one of the oldest and most respected UK MMA events; Cage Warriors has rightfully earned its reputation as the promotion where stars are born. And this action packed night will be no exception, as it features a mix of up-and-coming UK talent alongside some more established stars.
This show will be highlighted by top UK Welterweight and current Cage Warriors Under 73kg Champion Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy (16-6-0-1nc). Hardy returns to Cage Warriors just seven days after his controversial DQ loss against Yoshiyuki Yoshida in the finals of the Cage Force Welterweight Title tournament on December 1st.
Hardy will be looking to take out his frustration on the talented Spanish all-rounder Manuel “Manu” Garcia (12-6-0) from the Total Grappling gym. However “Manu” Garcia is a solid fighter who has fought top opposition in the USA and across Europe, and this former Middleweight contender will be looking to take full advantage of this hastily arranged match-up, when he faces the rising Team Rough House star on Saturday night..
This ten bout card also features another local favourite in the form of the former Pro boxer Wayne Buck, who returns to Cage Warriors after a frustrating year which has seen him forced out of the last two Rough House events due to injury. The unbeaten and heavy hitting Buck will be facing local rival Victor Aniolek who is coming off an impressive submission win against the gargantuan Rob Owens at Ultimate Force 7 back in October. Both men requested this fight and will be looking to prove a point when they trade blows inside the cage.
Another of Team Rough House’s rising stars is also on the card, as the two-time British Welterweight Champion and the 2h2h Road to Japan winner Jim Wallhead, takes on the wily Welsh veteran Paul Jenkins in a Cage Kickboxing bout. This bout is a rematch of their House of Pain Welterweight MMA Title bout in 2005, which saw Wallhead walk away from Jenkins’ home town with a Title belt. Now Jenkins gets the chance to turn the tables at Wallhead’s home event and also continue his good record in Cage Kickboxing bouts against the Rough House team when they meet on Saturday.
This card also features two more Welterweight bouts as Rough House BJJ coach Lee Livingstone looks to improve his unbeaten 3-0 record when he faces Lukasz Les from the Wolfslair Academy. Whilst the popular Irishman Mark “Manslaughter” O’Toole drops down a division to face the American Gladiator Challenge veteran Chas “Morbid Angel” Jacquier in a truly international affair.
This event will also see another Heavyweight showdown involving former K-1 UK fighter Chris Cooper and the dangerous East European striker Sergej Masloboev. Cooper was victorious last time out in Nottingham by TKO at “Enter The Rough House 2”. Whilst Masloboev took Cage Rage veteran Ivan Serati the distance earlier this year at UWC 4. The main card is completed by a Lightweight match-up which sees the unbeaten “Psycho” Steve Tetley from Team Rough House return to the cage after eight months out, when he faces the up-and-coming North East grappler Ross Pearson.
This is promising to be another action packed Cage Warriors event and with the last minute inclusion of local star turned top international Welterweight contender Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy, this will be a show not to be missed.
