The 2013 CWFC Awards
The year 2013 was a memorable one for Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, as the promotion continued its growth courtesy of fourteen more exciting events across seven different countries, from the UK and Ireland to Russia and the Middle East.
It was the busiest and most successful year for CWFC since it all started back in July 2002, and there were plenty of unforgettable moments along the way, as we staged 150 bouts and crowned six new champions.
Neil Seery made history by becoming the first ever CWFC flyweight champion, while Brett Johns and Stevie Ray climbed to the summit of our bantamweight and lightweight divisions respectively by each defeating two opponents in one night to triumph in our action-packed title tournaments.
There was subsequently plenty to choose from in the eight categories in the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship Awards for 2013, as we recognised the very best from our biggest ever year.
Fifteen events were featured in total, including Cage Warriors 51 in Dublin on New Year’s Eve 2012, which was not part of the 2012 Awards due to the voting process having taken place prior to that event.
Voting has now closed in the 2013 CWFC Awards. The winners will be revealed here on Cage Warriors.com on Wednesday, 22 January, 2014.
