The Cage Warriors Fighting Championship held the weigh-in for their first USA event last night in Kissimmee, Florida.

The weigh-in which was conducted by the Florida State Boxing Commission was quite a departure for the UK fighters and their representatives as the process was far more formal than they had been used to in the UK.

The fighters also had to undergo a vigorous medical which added to the discomfort of many of the weight drained combatants who had spent the day cutting weight and who were expecting to get onto the scales at around 5.00pm

As the clock ticked towards 7pm, the first fighters stepped on the scales as CWFC Under 161lbs Champion Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy and his opponent in this non-title bout Chad “The Grinder’“Reiner weighed-in.

They were quickly followed by the rest of the UK vs. USA fighters and the remainder of the US undercard. Once over, the mood lightened considerably as the fighters were quickly allowed to hydrate themselves and enjoy a buffet which was laid out by the Cage Warriors USA team

All 11 bouts are still on with only Chino Duran to complete a further eye examination before the fight tonight.

Official photos of the weigh-in will follow, however the CWFC team were able to sneak in a few shots of their own. Look out for more of them in the forum along with the full official weight stats for each fighter.
