CWFC Fight Night 3: Alloway v Chimento

A WELTERWEIGHT bout has been confirmed for Cage Warriors Fight Night 3, with Ben Alloway (pictured) set to take on Mauro Chimento in Beirut on February 11.

The pair will make their CWFC debuts at the organisation’s first show of 2012, which takes place in the Lebanese capital in just over three weeks’ time.

30-year-old Alloway (10-3-0), who fights out of Fiore MMA in Illinois, will be aiming for a fourth consecutive victory. The Aussie fought as recently as last Friday night when he defeated Rashid Abdullah via armbar in the second round of their bout in Missouri.

Chimento (14-8-0) is a native of Brazil but recently signed with Gloucestershire outfit Trojan Free Fighters. Chimento, also 30, last fought when he secured a unanimous decision victory over Francesco Neves in his home town of Sao Paulo back in May.

“I would like to thank both camps for their help in getting this fight done,” said Cage Warriors matchmaker Ian Dean. “It’s great to work with professional teams such as Fiore MMA and Trojan Free Fighters and I think it should be a very interesting and exciting match-up.”
