CWFC Fight Night 6 | Main Event | Grimaud v Taylor

24/05/2012

TONIGHT at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain, Gael Grimaud will make his long-awaited debut defence of the Cage Warriors welterweight title at CWFC Fight Night 6.

Grimaud (14-5-0) will be returning to action for the first time since capturing the belt courtesy of an impressive second round TKO win over Arni Isaksson at CWFC Fight Night 2 in Amman, Jordan last September.

However, the 32-year-old Frenchman faces a difficult challenge if he’s to retain his title this evening. UFC and Strikeforce veteran Jesse ‘JT Money’ Taylor (20-8-0) provides the opposition and the man from California is confident.

“I respect the toughness of the champ, but that belt is going to be mine. I’m looking forward to taking it back to California with me,” said Taylor.

But Grimaud, while respecting the calibre of his opponent in tonight’s main event, has no intention of relinquishing the CWFC strap.

He said: “It will be a tough fight but I will be on top when it’s over. I have not lost for two years, the belt has been on my waste for nine months and that’s where it’s going to stay after tonight.”

Grimaud versus Taylor headlines another stacked Cage Warriors card and you can catch all the action LIVE tonight. Tickets are still available HERE.
