Warrior Promotions Fighter Management are proud to announce that they have signed a three year management deal with the talented Welsh fighter Daniel ‘Denzil’ Thomas.

Thomas has a Professional MMA record of 10-6-0 and is known for being a rugged, durable Welsh brawler, who has travelled across the UK (and even Europe) over the past two years to fight some of the biggest names in the European 70kg/155lbs division.

Thomas’ enthusiasm saw him rack-up a staggering 10 professional MMA bouts in just six months and at one time sported an impressive 7-1 record. He did this despite often stepping-in at the last minute to replace injured or withdrawn fighters. Nevertheless ‘Denzil’ holds wins over the likes of the Shooto Japan veteran Antanas Jazbutis, the unorthodox Cage Rage veteran; Sami Berik (twice) and the rising Cage Wars star; Peter ‘Slam’ Duncan.

Thomas has also dipped his toes in the Kickboxing circuit and holds an impressive decision victory over the highly regarded Essex based Muay Thai specialist Jay Woodham earlier this year (in a bout he took on just 2 days notice). Thomas has also been busy this year in MMA competition, stopping the Muay Thai specialist Stuart Davis at UWC 7 in May, before ending the three bout win streak of the Irishman Peter Duncan; who Thomas defeated with a Guillotine choke back in early August.

In order to further his skills the former Bus Driver from the Rhondda Valley flew out to the H.I.T Squad, where he trained at the camp set-up by former UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes. Whilst he was out in the United States; Thomas received a last minute call-up from the Cage Warriors USA Promoter Tommy Gleeson to fight on their August show. Thomas duly obliged and put on a tremendous performance against the ATT fighter; Glen Mincer in a hastily arranged bout at 160 lbs.  Although Thomas ended up losing via TKO he won a lot of support from US fans and local Promoters due to his gutsy performance inside the circular cage.

Since his return to the UK, Thomas decided he needed better representation if he was to continue to progress in one of Europe’s most competitive weight divisions. So he contacted Warrior Promotions and after some discussion he decided to sign with the rapidly expanding UK MMA Management Company.

Upon signing with Warrior Promotions earlier this week; Thomas was quoted as saying “This is a great opportunity for me and I am very happy to sign with Warrior Promotions. I believe this is the right way forward for me and I feel my career is finally about to start as now I will be able to train harder and not worry about getting fights as my new Management can handle it for me.”. Thomas continued on by saying “In the future I would like to fight the best fighters around and hopefully sign a fight deal with a big organisation and I hope that by signing with Warrior Promotions I can do just that”.

When asked about their latest signing a Warrior Promotions spokesman told Cagewarriors.com “We are very pleased to sign another fighter to our ever-expanding roster which already includes the likes of Dan Hardy, Jim Wallhead, Andre Winner, Rosi Sexton and more. Daniel Thomas is an immensely brave fighter with a lot of potential, but has been held back by taking fights on late notice and not getting the coverage or respect he deserves. We aim to boost his public profile, secure him sponsorship and handle his affairs in a way that will continue to facilitate his career “.

Already Warrior Promotions hope to match Daniel Thomas on the forthcoming “House of Pain” show in Wales on December 7th, where he will return in a Lightweight bout against an opponent who has yet-to-be-named before returning early next year with more fights in what is arguably Europe’s most stacked division.
