Following a rash of last minute pull outs from contenders on the Rough House 6 undercard, CWFC have gone into overdrive to present an even higher standard of matchmaking on the night.

Ian Dean, CWFC Match Maker extroadinaire is set to go into meltdown as up to 5 fighters have pulled out due to injuries this week. Commenting on this, Ian said; ‘Cage Warriors never say die and the new matches have already lifted the card to an even higher level of standard to ensure we put on the best possible night of MMA. I’m just relieved my lottery winnings came through in time’.

Fighters to pull out include; Lee Cutler, Piotr Kusmierz, Steve Murphy, Scott Hewitt and on the main card, Mattias Awad.

To remedy this, the CWFC can now announce that Cliff Hall (3-3-0) will now face Nigel ‘Pitbull’ Whitear (6-10-0) & Dean Amasinger (2-1-0) will now face Jason Muldoon (2-1-0) on the night with opponents for Pete McGurk, Rob Askew & Chris Cooper now being confirmed.

Jimmy Wallhead was set to face Mattias Awad who has since pulled following an injury in training. The Vale Tudo Champion has been plagued by injuries for the past two and a half years and the CWFC team send their best regards for a speedy recovery and look forward to having him on the next Cage Warriors card.

His replacement to face ‘Judo’ Jim Wallhead is now confirmed as Tom Haddock (10-8-0) from the EFR Team. This will now be a Middleweight bout with Wallhead having to move up a weight class for the night. Haddock is a regular on the Irish MMA circuit and is a nine time UFR/EFR show veteran having fought some of the best names in Europe including; David Bielkheden, Adrian Degorski, Rodney Moore and many more.

Whilst Haddock has taken this bout at short notice he is currently on a 6 fight winning streak, defeating the likes of John Donnelly, Kev Axworthy & Tomas Kuzela, so expect some explosive action on this new Middleweight bout. Wallhead is equally keen to prove he can meet this challenge after his recent defeat to Charles Blanchard at the Cage Warriors Battle Royale in the USA on March 29th.
