ANOTHER bout has been added to the card for Cage Warriors 58, with Liam James (pictured) and Akhad Mammadov set to collide.

Cage Warriors 58 will take place at Olympisk Arena in Grozny, Chechnya, on Saturday, 24 August, 2013.

James (7-5), a 29-year-old Englishman, will be competing for Cage Warriors for the fifth time in his career.

Now fighting out of SBG Ireland, he enjoyed an impressive debut win over Jean N’Doye last year before dropping to bantamweight and suffering losses to Olivier Pastor and Alan Philpott.

After abandoning the cut to the 135lbs division, James returned to winning ways courtesy of a unanimous decision victory against Stephen Coll at Cage Warriors 55 in Dublin last month.

“I can’t wait for this fight. I’m now training at the best gym in Europe and everything is going well. I’m coming for the belt and this next opponent is just another obstacle that I’ll get over,” said James.

Mammadov (5-1) is a 27-year-old former lightweight with a background in boxing. A native of Baku in Azerbaijan, Mammadov will be making his Cage Warriors debut.

He said: “I’m looking forward to entering the world arena by fighting for Cage Warriors. I’ll be fighting a very good opponent so I expect it will be an entertaining and exciting bout.”

More fights are still to be announced for CWFC 58. Keep track of Cage Warriors on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news and updates.
