Jim Wallhead Out Of M-1 Challenge Clash On April 29th
The Warrior Promotions managed fighter “Judo” Jim Wallhead has been withdrawn from the M-1 Challenge event in Japan on April 29th. Wallhead, who sports an impressive 15-5-0 record was withdrawn from the UK Team’s debut appearance in the exciting global tournament, after he failed to shake off a virus which had stopped his training regime for over a month.
Speaking on the Cagewarriors.com forums Wallhead’s Manager Andy Lillis said “I pulled Jimmy out of the M-1 fight, two weeks ago, he actually asked for another week to see how he was, I could not give him another week as we have to get visa’s sorted.”
Although it is hoped that Wallhead will be back to full fitness soon, it was decided by Warrior Promotions that Wallhead will be rested for the opening round of the M-1 Challenge and that he should concentrate instead on his upcoming fights in the UK.
Whilst Fighters Only Magazine have reported that Wallhead is now eyeing up a possible fight with UFC 93 veteran Tom Egan after their recent war of words on the Internet.
