Lisa Higo Fights This Weekend At The GFight 8 Tournament In The USA

The UK has another MMA fighter looking to break the USA market this weekend, as Lisa Higo (1-0-0) is travelling overseas to compete in the GFight 8 woman tournament on Saturday night. This event is an amazing opportunity for Female fighters around the world and will be broadcast via a live web stream.

Lisa Higo is a team mate of the Cage Warriors Women’s Champion Rosi Sexton and recently attended the UK tryouts for the upcoming Women’s Ultimate Combat reality show, which were held in Manchester.

Higo comes from a Muay Thai background and is based in Leeds but has spent the last two years working on her ground game with the SBG Manchester Head Coach Karl Tanswell, and Higo is said to be in ‘amazing shape’.

However this is easily the toughest test of Higo’s fledgling MMA career which has been dogged by a lack of domestic opposition and frustrating last minute pull-outs. Nevertheless, Higo is ready to face a top quality field that includes the likes of the American Top Team fighter; Jessica Aguilar, the Cung Le; protege Van Do Milnes, and the tough top ten ranked female fighter: Angela Magana.
