Warrior Promotions UK MMA Limited are pleased to announce the second confirmed bout for their forthcoming Cage Warriors: Enter The Rough House 6 show. As the BodogFIGHT veteran Matt “12 Gauge” Thorpe returns to Nottingham to face the UFR Fight Team’s Mark “Manslaughter” O’Toole. Both men are well known to the loyal CW fans and O’Toole in particular is gaining quite a cult following due to his performances inside the cage.

Matt Thorpe (9-6-0) is known as one of the UK’s top Welterweight fighters and holds wins over the likes of the recent Elite XC signee Che Mills; the German Shidokan star, Peter Angerer; and the Shooto Holland veteran, Raymon Jarman. Known for his height (6ft 4in/193cm) and versatile skills; Thorpe is a threat both on his feet and on the floor, with vastly underrated stand-up for a fighter with seven submission wins.

A five time veteran of Cage Warriors; Thorpe is best known for his epic Cage Warriors Welterweight Title fight against Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy back in 2005. Since then his record has been mixed with victories over Peter Angerer at CW Showdown 1 and at CWFC Enter The Rough House 3. However Thorpe has also suffered losses against the top European grappler Diego Gonzalez at BodogFIGHT and the highly rated North East star Leslee Ojugbana at CWFC Enter The Rough House 4.

However in his last outing Thorpe got back to winning ways in a controversial bout against the Brazilian Claudio Henrique at UWC 5 and will be looking to make it two straight wins, when he faces the Irish all rounder on April 19th.

Whilst Mark O’Toole (7-6-0) makes his fifth appearance inside the CWFC cage and is looking to get back to winning ways after losing to the American Chas Jacquier in his previous outing in December.

O’Toole made his Cage Warriors debut in the Middleweight division back in April at CWFC Enter The Rough House 2 when he fought the talented French sensation Karl Amoussou on short notice. Although the Irishman was unsuccessful he won a legion of fans (and press plaudits) due to his battling performance and attitude.

O’Toole soon returned to the CWFC at Enter The Rough House 3 where he defeated local favourite Christian Smith in a scintillating bout, which saw the Irishman knock down Smith before submitting him with an armbar. Whilst in October; O’Toole added another win to his record when he submitted the tough Londoner Lola Bamgbala by armbar at Enter The Rough House 4.

However at Enter The Rough House 5; O’Toole was defeated in his first Welterweight encounter by Chas Jacquier and will be looking to make amends when he faces a “Top 10” UK welterweight contender in the form of Matt “12 Gauge” Thorpe on April 19th.

This has all the makings of another exciting Cage Warriors bout between two experienced and well rounded fighters looking to climb the rankings. Also confirmed for this event is a clash between Ian “M-16” Butlin and the American Chas Jacquier. More bouts for this show will be announced soon.
