Paul McVeigh Wins Again At Absolute Combat

The Warrior Promotions managed fighter Paul “Metabolic” McVeigh showed once again why he is Europe’s number 1 Bantamweight MMA Fighter, as he defeated the talented Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt; Marcelo Costa at Absolute Combat 1: Proving Ground at the Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The talented ‘Dinky Ninja Fight Team’ member was able to stop the takedowns and nullify the strikes of his Brazilian opponent, whilst being able to pummel him from top position throughout the fight with a barrage of elbow strikes. Although the Brazilian troubled McVeigh briefly in round 3 with a leglock attempt McVeigh was able to escape and win the fight by a well deserved unanimous decision over 3 hard fought rounds.

McVeigh (Who is also the Cage Warriors World Bantamweight Champion) now has his sight set on bigger and better things as he hopes this performance will lead to a call-up by one of the world’s elite events in the US or Japan.
