Rob Sinclair Drops Razor Thin Decision To Paul Sass At OMMAC 2
Rob Sinclair lost his OMMAC British Lightweight Title on Saturday night at OMMAC 2: Business As Usual. The bout between Sinclair (7-1-0) and the unbeaten Paul Sass (8-0-0), was one of the most highly anticipated clashes of the year and lived up to it’s billing as both men put on a spectacular show, which has had critics singing it’s praises after three exciting rounds.
The bout saw the defending Champion and WPFM contracted fighter Rob Sinclair working off his back against the Liverpool based submission expert and almost catching Sass early on with several submissions including a heel hook.
However Sass was able to score takedowns and had top position throughout most of the fight and despite Sinclair’s activity on the floor, it was ultimately not enough to win the Judge’s favour who awarded the fight to the hometown fighter via spilt decision.
Despite his loss, Sinclair remains upbeat and is hopeful of a rematch for the Title in the near future, or possible big fights elsewhere as he aims to have at least one more fight before the end of the year.
