Warrior Promotions Fighter Management (WPFM) are pleased to announce that they have re-signed the Cage Warriors Bantamweight Champion Paul “Metabolic” McVeigh to a new multi year management deal.

This deal not only underlines WPFM’s desire to work with top Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters in the UK, and also shows the bond between McVeigh and the Company that has nurtured him through most of his professional MMA career to-date. McVeigh, put pen to paper this past weekend at the Griphouse Gym in Glasgow, Scotland; where he is currently based and trains.

The 28 year old Irishman is an eight year pro and has diligently carved out a reputation for being one of the UK’s most exciting, charismatic and skilful fighters. With an impressive 17-6 professional record; this BJJ Brown Belt has not only won the CWFC Bantamweight Title outright with 3 successful defences, but also holds the Cage Contender Bantamweight Title too. Whilst previously McVeigh has also held the CWFC Featherweight and the Extreme Brawl under 64kg Titles.

Currently ranked as the number one Bantamweight in Europe by GroundandPound.de, the Dinky Ninja Fight Team member is currently on a fine run of form that has seen him win eight of his last ten bouts. This hot streak has seen him defeat the likes of the Lithuanian Sambo specialist Artemij Sitenkov, the Swedish reality TV star Musse Hasselvall and the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts Anderson Pereira and Marcelo Costa.

Upon sealing the deal with McVeigh; the Warrior Promotions Director Graham Boylan was quoted as saying ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen now that there is two Irishman working together, I don’t know who’s crazier him or me, only 2011 will tell. I have huge plans for Paul with four fights already planned for next year, which will see him fight twice in the UK and twice overseas’.

When asked for his view, McVeigh expressed his enthusiasm for the deal in his own inimitable way by saying ‘Warrior Promotions and Ian Dean have always been my home boys. The fact I have done pretty good on the old wrecking boys front is due to their support. Now with the new boss man Graham Boylan running things, I’m delighted to be re-signing and can’t wait to have a busy 2011. Booyaaa !!’.

Now with a packed 2011 schedule looming, WPFM will look to push this talented fighter onto the world stage, and are hoping to secure a Title defence for the Irishman on a Cage Warriors show early next year against another top ranked European fighter. Then if successful they will let the Irishman loose on US opposition later in the year as WPFM look to secure McVeigh a place in the World’s elite promotions, where he rightfully belongs.
