Long time Cage Warriors fans favourite, Ross “The Gladiator” Pointon returns to Cage Warriors on July 12th as a guest and to also coach the next generation of fighters from his famous Gladiator Gym.

Pointon is coming off a stunning win at Cage Rage 26 against Ross Mason where he submitted the Trojan Gym fighter with a quick Heel Hook early in round 1. Pointon will be hoping this win last month will inspire his team when they fight at the Rough House show.

Pointon will be attending both the afternoon and evening event and will start off by cornering two of his junior fighters at ‘CWFC Braves 2’ as Thomas Phillips and Conrad Hayes return to action after participating in two action packed bouts at the inaugural ‘Braves’ event in April.

Whilst in the main ‘Enter The Rough House 7’ card, Pointon will work the corner of John Philips and Adam Bairstow as they battle Pete McGurk (from the Bushido MMA Fight Team) and Kristoff Woodhouse (Team Rough House) respectively in MMA and Cage Kickboxing action.

The Gladiator Gym in Stoke-on-Trent is a state of the art training facility dedicated to Mixed Martial Arts. For more information about the gym, click on the logo at the end of this article.

Ross “The Gladiator” Pointon has appeared on CWFC cards regularly and is probably best known to us for his exciting bouts with Mike Bisping. He was a competitor in season three of the Ultimate Fighter Championship, fighting in the Light Heavyweight (205 lb.) division after premiering in the Middleweight (185 lb.) division under Ken Shamrock.

Pointon was defeated by Kendall Grove in the Middleweight division due to a rear naked choke and by CWFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mike Bisping in the Light Heavyweight division due to striking submission. Ross is known for his competitive spirit and willingness to fight anyone.
