Warrior Promotions are adding another quality bout to their stacked Welterweight card at the seventh instalment of the Rough House series. As July 12th will see the CWFC debut of the unbeaten young Norwegian standout Simeon “The Grin” Thoresen (8-0-0) at CWFC Enter The Rough House 7.

Thoresen, a student of the former Shooto World Champion and Pride FC star Joachim Hansen, is the current Adrenaline Sports Welterweight Champion having won the Title on April 12th after winning a four man tournament at Adrenaline 2: Rise of the Champions in Denmark defeating both the Brazilian jiu-jitsu purple belt Andre Mineus and the amateur Shooto champion Cole Lauritzen by Armbar in the process.

Thoresen first made his name by plying his trade in the UK having made his debut at Intense Fighting in August 2006 before making five straight appearances on the Essex based Ultimate Warrior Challenge promotion. It was his performances at UWC which caught the attention of the CWFC team, MMA pundits and fans alike. As the Norwegian prodigy put in some sublime performances which saw the Team Joachim Hansen fighter claim 4 of his first 5 wins inside a round, with six of his seven wins coming by submission.

Thoresen literately steam rolled through his opposition with two Triangle wins over Cliff Hall, a controversial but impressive submission victory over the tough Liverpudlian Lee Dickson and dominant performances against the Lithuanian Soli Clichko, the American GI, Chas Jacquier (by TKO) and another quick submission win against the unorthodox veteran Paul “Hands of Stone” Jenkins.

Due to his impressive performances and stellar record Thoresen has been the subject on several articles and has been featured on Sherdog as well as media and blogs in his native Norway. Meanwhile speculation abounds that Thoresen is considering big offers to fight in the US or Japan, he will take another step up the international ladder when he fights on one of Europe’s most respected and well known events on July 12 when he faces the experienced Matt “12 Gauge” Thorpe (11-6-0) at Cage Warriors: Enter The Rough House 7.

Following the recent controversy when Manuel Garcia pulled out of his upcoming fight with Thorpe, the Northern Cartel veteran has been vocal in his dismay at finding opponents and will no doubt be relishing this opportunity to show his skills on July 12.
