Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, after holding several shows in the U.S., is returning to England with one of their most star studded events ever. On May 22, from the NEC in Birmingham, England, many of the best domestic and international fighters in the sport will be looking for their “Right To Fight”.

Three Cage Warriors World Title belts will be on the line including a welterweight main event battle between two undefeated rising stars. Also on the card will be Bellator signee “Judo” Jim Wallhead.

Two undefeated prospects, John Quinn, from Scotland, and Pascal Krauss, of Germany put their 8-0 records on the line to claim the vacant welterweight crown in the main event. A title once held by UFC title challenger Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy. This bout has all the potential to be the highlight of the evening; none of their sixteen combined fights have gone to the judges’ scorecards.

Jim Wallhead (18-5), a favourite to win the Bellator welterweight tournament before travel issues forced him to watch from the sidelines, is committed to staying active and taking on the best available opponents while he waits for his next opportunity at the Bellator title. The Judo expert has won ten of his last eleven bouts, including eight wins by stoppage. An opponent for Wallhead is still be announced following Mikey Gomez’s late removal from the bout.

English favourite Paul “Metabolic” McVeigh will put his Cage Warriors Bantamweight title on the line when he faces Jose Luis Zapater. The two submission specialists will continue their individual charges toward international recognition. McVeigh (16-6) has taken on and beaten some of the best fighters Eastern Europe has to offer, while Zapater (6-5) has made a name for himself fighting globally in M-1 Challenge events.

The lightweight title, left vacant when Alexandre Izidro was unable to defend due to injury, will go to either Denmark’s Kenneth Rosfort (13-2) or former Bellator competitor Greg “The Hitman” Loughran (18-14). Rosfort has won ten of eleven contests, including TKO stoppages over Jeff Lawson and Franco de Leonardis. Laughran has victories over UFC’s Andre Winner and BAMMA champion Rob Sinclair.

Also slated to be part of this historic event will be Daniel “Denzil” Thomas (17-6), one of the U.K.‘s top rated lightweights. Thomas has won nine of his ten, finishing all nine opponents during his streak. He will be facing newcomer Ali “Insane” Maclean (3-1-1). Maclean has impressed in his short professional career.

After outstanding amateur careers, Helena Martin and Sarah Moras will both be making their professional debuts as part of the “Right To Fight” event. Moras, a Canadian, recently packed up and moved to England to train under Rosi Sexton in preparation for her professional career.

CWFC 37: “Right To Fight” will be the part of a huge weekend for MMA enthusiasts, with thousands set to descend on the NEC for The Martial Arts Show which takes place on the 22nd & 23rd of May, covering the complete martial arts spectrum. With guests able to enjoy a wide range of martial arts activities including: tournaments, free courses and seminars, competitions, demonstrations, personal appearances and hundreds of autograph opportunities.

Of the shows anticipated 35,000 visitors only 1000 lucky martial arts fans will have the chance to be ringside for the historic night action.
